The Beginning

Welcome to "Outside of the Loop", a place to discuss the crazy aspects of working on the road, the absurdities of television production, and essentially anything else worth noting.
It's also a place where I'll chronicle the 2010 World Cup from South Africa starting in June 2010.
So without further ado, I'll start with this column I found in the Bush Intercontinental Airport parking garage. Why would a column have an address?
My backpack is sticking it's tongue out...

  1. Two important things - no, three.

    1) Windhoek beer (pronounced "Vinn-took" An excellent Namibian beer not uncommon in South Africa and tastier than Kastle - a not uncomon South African beer.

    2) "Lekker." (Pronounced "Lekkuh" with a soft r) Afrikans slang for very good, wonderful.

    3) Dock Ellis No-No - find it on youtube. Do it now.
